Personality: Calm, unbothered, confident. There’s not much in life that ruffles Rei’s feathers. Having a dragon in her head predicting the future, even before the dragon broke shell, did equip her with a certain sense of serendipity toward life. Whatever happens, happens. And if it happens to be bad, Rei is certain that something good will soon follow. She’s also still very much aware that she is a physically fit and attractive woman and does not mind picking up a bit of fresh meat every now and then.

Description: Tall, athletic, tanned. Rei has short, curly brown hair that never seems to do what she wants it to. She has kind, brown eyes framed by wrinkle lines and a thin mouth. She has spent most of her life being a search rider, and so is used to a very rugged and strenuous way of living. Her toned physique shows the years of strain she’s put her body through. She typically wears very worn riding leathers and pops of colour underneath.

Biography:

Born to one of the small, unbeholden towns in the far northern reaches of the central continent, Rei grew up knowing a subsistence based lifestyle. She was traded away from her family at the age of ten to begin working in a neighbouring town. At the age of eighteen, a strange woman riding a silver dragon happened across her town. After the initial terror wore off, she came to learn that the dragon was intelligent and bonded to the woman, and they were in search of other potential people to bond dragons. Rei did not hesitate in volunteering.

Rei spent a year working with the stablemaster, O’lan, at the Warren before a clutch became available to her. All the while, she never fussed or demanded to know when she would be picked. When the other candidates asked how Rei managed to keep her cool so well, she simply gave them a knowing smile and said that it wasn’t time yet.

The day that Rei bonded Mariamanth was the first day that she displayed some sense of nervousness, but that passed as soon as the butterscotch gold fell into her arms.
