Tris’Hathian Adoptables

There are a number of strange and wondrous creatures to be found on Tris’Hath.  Below are just a few who are willing to share their lives with other sentient creatures and travel the Nexus.

Pegasus

Pegasi are incredibly intelligent creatures who share the mountain ranges of the kirin.  They disdain most contact with other sentients due to a history of bad interactions in the past.  They prefer high, mountainous regions, though they are just as much at home in the low lands.  They are a migratory creature that will move from high to low ranges with the changing of the seasons.

Young pegasi learn to fly within a week of birth.

Intellect-wise, they are on a level with dolphins and apes.  They can learn rough means of communication with other sentients, but their stubborn wills and disdain for humanoids often means they pretend to be less intelligent than they are.

Pegasi live in large family units called “flocks.”  Pegasi need a flock to be happy.  If they are outcast or lost for any reason, they will desperately seek out any other family struck to integrate themselves with.  This is often how pegasi have ended up as pets or work animals for humanoid species.

Pegasi stand between 14.2 to 17 hands at the shoulder, and can weigh between 700 to 900 pounds.  Due to their relatively light weight compared to their build, their bone structure is extremely delicate.  Great care must be taken if riding or working with a pegasus to avoid permanent damage.

Kirin

Small, flighty creatures that frequent the mountains of the Northern continent.  They are solitary and elusive and prefer to live in quiet places.  They are well built for withstanding cold, harsh temperatures and enjoy climbing rough terrain.

Intellect-wise, they are within the range of other equus.  They can be exceedingly wily and mischievous, or quite laid back and unbothered.

Kirin tend to form strong, familial connections to very few individuals. They do not like large groups.

They stand roughly 2 to 4 feet at the shoulder, with 2.9 feet being the average.  They weigh in the range of 60 to 100 lbs.
