The Unicorn Herd
They come from disparate worlds and disparate backgrounds. None claim Tris'Hath as their birthplace, but they've all come to know it as home.

Phaeton
The stallion
The strongest and wisest among the herd, Phaeton leads with pride. He has little patience for disputes or humour. He is defensive by nature, likely due to his small stature requiring him to fight hard to earn the respect of those around him.
1.4 m tall
Auris
Lead female
The water to Phaeton's fire, the soft breeze to his howling wind, Auris is everything Phaeton is not. She is gentle, kind, and soft spoken. She has an infinite amount of patience, which is likely a strong factor in what earned her the unwavering respect and support of the herd. She never has to fight for her position because no one would dare challenge her and risk the ire of the rest of the herd.

Tryne
Secondary female
Younger sister to Auris, Tryne is a rambunctious ball of energy. She is no young filly anymore, and yet she never turns down the colts when they want to play. She loves to run more than anything in the world and is often getting herself into trouble by running a bit too far and wild.
1.5 m
Leila
Tertiary female
A young, sweet mare who shies away from social situations of all varieties. She is not opposed to being around other sentient beings, but she is forever petrified of making a mistake. She has an affinity for less sentient creatures and can often be found surrounded by an odd assortment of woodland creatures.

Lunaria
Quaternary female
A serious and steadfast mare who helps keep the herd in order. She is ambitious, but unwilling to challenge the sweet and gentle mares above her for fear of hurting them. For now, she contents herself with lording over the colts and fillies, even going so far as to help the herd adjacent families.

Valyria
Quinary female
Easily the largest in the herd, Valyria has styled herself the unofficial enforcer. If there is a dispute and Phaeton looks to be losing his patience, Valyria will step in to separate the squabblers. She is quite happy being "middle of the pack" so long as the other mares respect her strength when it's called for.
1.7 m

Sable
Senary female
Sister to Valyria but lacking her size and presence, Sable is a bit of a mischief maker. She won't admit it, but she's a little bitter that she didn't get any of her sister's size. She makes an effort to grab attention by causing trouble and starting drama. She never means to be outright cruel though, and will often apologize for weeks if her pranks cause legitimate harm.
1.4 m
Bellini
Septenary female
A friendly and outgoing soul, Bellini never has too many friends. She has done the most to integrate the herd in with the Warren's other residents, befriending many of the dragons and their riders. She is considered the "face" of the herd, despite her lower status, due to her ability to charm paint off a wall.

Aalona
Octonary female
Youngest of the herd and most beloved, Aalona knows she can get away with almost anything. She is a speed demon and an adrenaline junkie, and is always getting into trouble right alongside Tryna. She balks at rules, but is smart enough to settle down when Phaeton or Valyria step in.
1.3 m
Eos
Nonary female
Of the three "weird sisters", Eos is the kindest. She is the easiest to approach and speak to, and will often come up with excuses for her sisters' odd behaviours.
1.6 m

Dios
Nonary female
The weirdest of the weird sisters, Dios is unpredictable. One day she's the friendliest creature in the world, and the next she'll pretend she's never met you before. She's not outright mean, but her mercurial temperament means that few people have the patience to deal with her.
1.6 m
Reos
Nonary female
The scary one of the weird sisters. Reos is silent and judgmental. She will not tell you that she doesn't like you, but the feeling of being silently watched and measured for your worth is unshakable.

Auxiliary Family 1
Sigil, Grace, and Twilight
Though not officially part of the herd, this family unit sticks close to them for protection and socialization. They interact frequently with the mares in Phaeton's herd, but rarely Phaeton himself. Sigil in particularly does not dare upset the stallion for fear of having his family run off the fields.
Auxiliary Family 2
Zion, Matya, and Willow
Like the other family, this unit stays close to the herd without impeding on their territory. They spend most of their time around the other family unit, relying on each other for food and an alert ear for danger. Not that there's been anything much to fear since they moved to the Warren, but old habits die hard.
