Name: Werner Kindler
Age: 25 years
Gender: male
Race: Human (Tris'Hathian - Antiegen)
Height: 5’11”
Personality: Calm, studious, boring. Werner loves books. He loves studying. He loves solitude and quiet and a complete lack of socialization. In fact, if all the world were to disappear around him, he would be perfectly happy. With that said, he realizes that being entirely aloof is not beneficial to his career. He is polite and well mannered, almost to a fault. He has made a few friends throughout life, mostly consisting of people who also value education and study. He can talk about the history of border disputes for hours on end, but has zero interest in the day to day going-ons of those around him. He dreams of one day meeting someone who is as fascinated by history as he is.
Description: Average height, curly black hair, brown skin, blue eyes. Werner looks younger than given age. He has large, soulful eyes and a mop of unruly curls framing his face. He has a thin frame and does not exercise, leaving him with very little muscle mass. To hide his scrawny self, he prefers to wear loose, baggy clothing.
Biography:
Werner grew up as the second child of a minor noble house in Antiem. He received the best education that his parents could afford, an enriching childhood from his caregivers, and exposure to the highlights of high society. As soon as he was of an age to voice his opinion on anything, he began to reject his parents’ efforts to trot him out before their socialite friends. He would much prefer to stay in his room reading and writing.
This desire for seclusion was not well received, least of all by his older brother, Hendrik. He behaved as his parents desired, showing a great interest in social engagements and sports. He teased Werner mercilessly for his preference for books, often playing cruel pranks and destroying Werner’s possessions. This bullying behaviour was further worsened by their parents’ clear preference for Hendrik, leading to them ignoring much of the torment he inflicted on Werner.
As soon as Werner was of age to attend higher education, he left home. Though he remained in contact with his parents due to the need for them to pay his way through school, the act was perfunctory. He avoided them as much as possible, preferring instead to spend time with his new school friends.
One such friend was Hewlitt, a rather anxious young man who wanted to progress along the same path as Werner. They bonded over the shared trauma of being bullied for their bookish natures and spent much of the following years together.
Hewlitt disappeared abruptly one day. Werner learned that he’d been selected as a candidate and whisked off-world within a matter of hours. He could not deny a feeling of slight betrayal by the quick departure. He’d thought they were close enough that Hewlitt would have at least told him he was leaving. Without his best friend to support him, Werner became even more reclusive and threw himself into his studies.
Hewlitt returned months later, now with a young dragonling and a shiney new title to his name. Werner assumed that their friendship would naturally come to an end, as neither seemed to have time for the other anymore. So he was considerably surprised when Hewlitt approached him one day, not long after his final exam to qualify as an international arbitration lawyer, to recruit him for a new cause.

Name: Matagarth
Age: adult
Gender: female
Breed: Blood Court
Colour: purple
Height: 7’ at the shoulder
Abilities: Fire breath, teleportation, telepathy
Personality: Matagarth is a bit of a puzzle. She is very calm, grounded, but can have a little bit of a temper when it comes to those she thinks might be giving her rider the cold shoulder. Definitely “tiger mom” vibes with this blood court female. Her gift will activate a little sooner than the others, and she will delight in using it to show off, just a little bit.
