He's endlessly devoted to her, even if he's not particularly friendly toward anyone else. It's not that he's outright snide, he's just deeply introverted and would rather swim off to a dark crevice than socialize outside of a structured setting. Never-the-less, as long as he's not required to interact too fiercely with others, Melanocetus is a dedicated worker, possessed of optimism and eternal patience to get things done right.​
