Name: Juliana Redstream
Age: 15 years
Gender: female
Race: human (Tris'Hathian - Sudlanese)

Personality: Modest, fair, talkative. Juliana is a soft spoken and gentle soul. She treats everyone and everything she comes across with the same level of respect and consideration. She is bright and creative, relishing dance right alongside the latest book on botany. She is fiercely loyal to her family.
Description: Tall, curly black hair, green eyes. Juliana has a dancer's frame. She came into her height early, gifted with long legs and a thin build. She has the same jet black hair as her sister, though her's curls effortlessly. She keeps it cut short to keep it out of her way. Her wide, expressive green eyes earn her as much notice as her easy smile and bright, colourful clothing choices.
Biography:
Juliana and her sister Dimia grew up in abject poverty in a little town along the border of the rift. Her father left when the girls were just babes, and her mother struggled every day to make ends meet. As the girls grew, they learned that they did not have the luxury of a carefree childhood. They began hustling with their mother as soon as they could walk, selling flowers on the corner and running errands for other families.
Juliana was always the prettier of the two girls. With her sweet disposition and her easy way with people, it wasn't surprising that everyone fell in love with her. She took naturally to performance, earning extra coin for her family by dancing at in the town square. Her performances always earned a crowd and more than a few admissions of undying love. Yet most people seemed to understand that appreciating her and actually loving her were two separate ideas.
Not for Lord Kelfiz, a minor noble from out of town who became immediately stricken by Juliana's beauty. He offered their mother a great sum of money if he could take Juliana home to be his wife.
Their mother hesitated for a second. Just long enough to scare the life out of Juliana. She protested loudly and vehmently, and might have done more had her sister not launched into a blind rage on her behalf.
Juliana tried to intervene to save her sister, but she was quickly overwhelmed by Lord Kelfiz's body guards. Though she struggled and screamed in protest, they handed her off to the lord, who took her out to his wagon parked outside their little hut.
Juliana kicked and bit and screamed, attracting the attention of many sleepy locals. Yet though she recognized the faces of many who had treated her with kindness all her life, not a single one of them moved to help her. Lord Kelfiz soon bound her wrist and foot, and shoved a gag in her mouth to silence her.
What followed were some of the most harrowing hours of her life. Locked in the back of a wagon, bound and gagged, Juliana was convinced she was headed for a nightmarish future. She could only imagine things were about to get worse when the wagon came to an abrupt stop and the doors flew open. Yet to her surprise, it was her mother who crawled in through the opening, urging her to be quiet as she drew a knife and began to cut Juliana's bindings.
It looked like the pair of them might make a clean getaway until one of Kelfiz's guards happened to come around to check on their "prize." He lunged for Juliana's mother, but Juliana was faster. Grabbing a metal-banded torch tucked in the back of the wagon, she swung at the man's head. It hit with a dull thunk, and the man went down in a heap.
Juliana and her mother fled as cries of alarm went up from the other guards. The ride back to town was nearly as harrowing as the one out of it, but at least this time Juliana was grateful for the ride.
They returned to their home, where Juliana assisted in binding up Dimia's leg and other injuries. Together, they rushed to pack up their meager belongings to make their escape under the cover of night.
It wasn't long before they began seeing posters go up for their arrest. A few short days after that terrible night, their mother sat the girls down and told them that they needed to split up. Dimia and Juliana were to go as far North as they could, while their mother attempted to throw off the trail of their pursuers.
The girls fought the plan and tears were shed, but in the end, they knew they had to do as they were told. The next day, their mother split off from them, and Juliana took the lead in taking them North.
A few days later, a dragon rider happened across the girls as they trekked the wilderness of Antiem. His dragon took an interest in them, and convinced the rider to carry the girls up to the Warren. Though they both showed great potential as dragon riders, they refused to go to any clutch separately. So it was they sat and waited until a clutch at Dawn Watch seemed promising. Now a new chapter begins.
