Biography:

Fabrice has always been a shy individual. Growing up with a single mother in the Traxan capital of Lesteppe, he was coddled through much of his childhood and rarely allowed to act on his own. As a result of this upbringing, he is in a constant state of conflict between his desire to see the world and an abject terror of the unknown.

As a youth, Fabrice received an expansive education. He attempted to make friends at school, but rarely got further than general acquaintances before his own self-deprecating thoughts had him pushing people away.

Fabrice entered law school in the hopes of forcing himself into more social situations to deal with his fears. This plan almost immediately went off the rails, as his teachers became quickly irritated by his inability to present before the class. They could not deny his book knowledge though, and so Fabrice landed himself a very comfortable job just out of school as a clerk in the royal palace.

This position afforded him the chance to overhear discussion of the plans for a Traxan warren. He quietly put his name forward, thinking nothing would come of it. Until the day he was called on to stand in for the would-be Caretaker of the Traxan warren, given that he was still off-world.

Fabrice’s fears nearly saw him run away from the opportunity, but after one sleepless night (and a great deal of alcohol and tears), the young clerk was on his way.

She’s quite a smart and polite little green, and while she won’t push him, Hokumath has her own ways of getting Fabrice to do what he needs to do to further himself.
