Name: B’ard (Silver)

Age: 65 years

Gender: male

Race: Human (Tris'Hathian - Saxen)

Height: 6'

Personality: Too old for this shit. His adventuring days are behind him. Though B’ard delights in telling stories of his exploits, he has no interest in riding off into the distance anymore. His favourite pastimes include reading, relaxing, napping, and calling Lenoth an idiot. He initially presents as a crotchety, stand-offish old man, but that’s only because he takes a long time to warm up. Under that gruff exterior, he is a wisened, hard-truth-dealing grandpa figure.

Description: Gray eyes, gray hair, sun-worn skin. B’ard has lost the trim figure of his youth. His face is weathered and lined, bearing as many smile lines as it does crow’s feet. His hair is thinning and his gut is expanding, and he bears a constant three-day-old shadow of beard along his jaw. He dresses in relaxed clothing; loose shirts and pants with heavy boots to protect his calloused feet.

Biography:

Born and raised on Saxet, hardship was as familiar to B’ard as breathing. He grew up in a large family that lived hand to mouth, often off whatever they could steal from the local markets. Their farm was small and could barely produce enough food for the family, let alone any product to sell.

B’ard ran off as a youth to join a local gang, which carried him far from home before he realized he was in over his head. He broke from them with some difficulty and struck out on his own as a lone, hired gun. It was not an easy life, and many times it looked like it might be a short one, but through sheer determination, B’ard continued to open his eyes in the morning and throw a middle finger to the sky.

In his late twenties, he came across a dangerously well shaped young woman who was as fast with her guns as she was with her words. Which turned out to be a very good thing, as her words often landed her in trouble. B’ard fell head over heels and badgered her until she agreed to join forces.

Lenoth and B’ard entertained a brief fling, but it wasn’t long before the young man realized that they were diametrically opposed lovers. Business partners though, that was another matter. Their romance died, but their partnership blossomed, and he spent more than a decade riding, gunning, and looting with Lenoth at his side.

When the pair ran into a spot of hot water, a passing dragon rider offered to take them out of it. They both agreed, and soon B’ard ended up with a dragon of his own; Halcioth.

They trained and flew together, growing into a fearsome combo in the air. Though Lenoth led their Wing during the war, B’ard kept the riders in line and trained up for battle.

Now, with the war behind them and nothing so pressing as berating one of the Nidus Caeligenus farmers about the proper way to water a crop, B’ard has declared himself retired. He is quite happy to let the younger crowd take over.

Age: 24 years

Gender: male

Breed: Pernese

Colour: bronze

Size: 9' at the shoulder

Abilities: Telepathy, teleportation, fire breath

Personality: Patient, tired, accommodating. Halcioth has never been a terribly active dragon. He enjoys sunning himself and getting a nice sand scrub. When moved to action, he is a power to behold, but for the most part, he would dearly like to emulate the local boulders. He does try to temper his bond’s foul moods by being a voice of reason, but won’t fight him too hard on any topic as fighting is exhausting. He would much rather nap.
