Personality: Like Rugan, he prefers to seclude himself in the smithy and work away the day. He's lightened up since his youth, but still presents as an aloof and suspicious individual. His anger is just as quick and furious as Rugan's own, scorching anyone in his path. Though prideful and stubborn, Tristen has come to know and love Rugan like a mother, and Roah as a sister.

Description: Tristen's appearance is reminiscent of Rugan. He is built of the same hulking, muscular material, and he wears the same dark colours and suspicious expression. His face is small and square. Low brows converge over his amber eyes, which are lost beneath the flat wave of messy golden brown hair. Thin, pale lips are often pulled tight in a disapproving frown. Yet the most remarkable feature of his face is the long, jagged scar running from above his left eye to his chin.

Biography:

Tristen remembers a time before the hydras. Which is all the more painful for the memory of his parents' dying screams as the monsters descended on his village.

Tristen is the only survivor of a port town, Inobi, that was wiped out during the hydra war. He was old enough to have the memory of that night imprinted on his mind, but young and small enough to escape the notice of the hydras that destroyed his family and friends.

Rugan found him in the ruins. She returned him to the rescue team come to look for survivors. Later, away from the stench of burning flesh and his demolished home, she'd been the one to agree to look after him.

Tristen hated her at first, as he hated all things in the life he was forced to continue living without his parents. Over time, her gruff demeanor and patient teaching methods won him over. He took out his pain and anger on the metal instead of the people around him, and over time, grew to know Rugan as a mother-figure.
