Personality: Strong, charismatic, socially inept. Barney's average talents on his homeworld have made him something of a super hero on Tris'Hath. He is incredibly strong, dexterous, and intelligent. He is fully aware of his talents too. While he can charm the scales off a fish, the infatuation that others feel toward him quickly fades as he proves to be equally arrogant and obtuse about his more off-putting behaviours. It doesn't help that he's also a perfectionist and expects the same from those around him.

Description: Incredibly long, spindly legs hold up a squat, round body. While from a distance he looks like any ordinary crab, up close one can see the subtle scarring and pucker marks that radiate across his entire shell. These scars have limited his ability to clean himself, and so he is also festooned with barnacles.

Personality: Patient, nurturing, ​agreeable. Bluthiss is not smart. That isn't to say he's stupid, but there are things going on in his bond's mind that he could never hope to understand. Even so, he is forever eager and willing to help Barney achieve his goals. Bluthiss is a workhorse. He finds his greatest joy in putting in a hard day's work and going to sleep exhausted. He is also incredibly gentle and kind, willing to spend hours grooming his bond and listening to him rant about his latest project.
