Personality: Aloof, standoff-ish, compassionate. Armistead does not like to get close to people. He assumes anyone looking to befriend him is actually working an angle. Even once he is around someone long enough to call them a friend, he keeps part of himself closed off so as not to give them ammo against him. He is perfectly polite, perhaps to an extreme, but it's rare to get anything more than casual pleasantries out of Armistead.

Description: Short, skinny, sickly looking. Armistead has short, mousey brown hair, brown eyes, and the complexion of a starving, war-time orphan. Due to his weak constitution, he is almost perpetually sick. This lends him a constant aura of fatigue and weakness. He dresses well though. Armistead never leaves the den without a well coordinated outfit.

Biography:

Armistead is a rider's son. He was born and raised in the Warren and has known no kind of life that hasn't involved dragons. His parents unfortunately passed during the hydra war, leaving him to be raised by surrogate parents. They were also riders, and raised him with the expectation that he too would become a rider one day. There was just one problem with that design for his future; Armistead had the constitution of a half-dead pigeon.

Due to this unfortunate biological status, he has harboured a healthy fear of anything that might put him in harm's way. Being hundreds of feet off the ground on a dragon's back falls into this category.

For years, Armistead struggled with his desire to live up to the expectations of his parents and adoptive parents, and his desire to not die. He stumbled upon the solution when a new batch of terigon came to the Warren. Two in particular took to him rather than hooking up with the local tussle. Abruptly, Armistead had his solution, and two lifelong friends as part of it.
